If you are a fan of the Diablo franchise, you must have heard of Diablo 2: Resurrected. Developed by Blizzard Entertainment and Vicarious Visions, it is an action RPG game.
The Resurrected Edition expands on the original Diablo 2 that came out in 2000 and its Lord of Destruction expansion pack. Diablo 2: Resurrected was released on September 23, 2021.
The remastered version of the game improves on the original graphics and multiplayer functionalities. Moreover, the resurrected version supports 4K and 7.1 Dolby Surround Sound.
Recently, Diablo 2: Resurrected players complained about the game not working and crashing.
Having said that, many are now reporting several issues with the game. According to reports, Diablo 2: Resurrected players are losing their a few hours of progress.
This has upset a lot of players who spend hours grinding and leveling up their character. Some also say that their offline character is affected by the bug as well.
It is really a bummer for those looking to complete during the weekend since it has set back their plans by a few hours. Looks like the disappearance of the offline character is paired with the losing progress issue.
As it turns out, Diablo 2: Resurrected developers have shared a workaround for the offline characters disappearing issue.
And as if this wasn’t enough, players have reported another issue with the game where they are unable to play online. Diablo 2: Resurrected players say that they are greeted with “Failed to enter game, this character is already in a game on the server” error.
Many say they have tried logging out and restarting the game but to no avail. This seems to be another server-side issue that players can do nothing about.
Fortunately, Blizzard seems to be aware of the issue. They said they are working on fixing it but haven’t shared any ETA on when the fix will be coming.
We hope Blizzard fixes the Diablo 2: Resurrected lost progress and online issues as soon as possible so players can enjoy the game as intended.
