The phrase “unrecognizable” is overused when referring to celebrities who undergo significant hair transformations, but it applies to Lily James’s most recent appearance looks. For Versace’s newest fall/winter 2022 campaign, the “Pam & Tommy” star recently got blunt bangs and bleached eyebrows, and she looks like a whole different person.
James was given a jet-black wig by celebrity hairstylist Karim Belghiran for the photo session that extends well past her shoulders and has sharp bangs that run across her forehead. Similar to what her sisters Gigi and Bella Hadid did previously this year for Versace’s runway presentation during Milan Fashion Week, she had her natural brunette eyebrows blonde for the occasion. In addition, James models Versace’s new Greca Goddess Bag for the campaign while sporting a dark shade of lipstick that was selected by makeup artist Porsche Poon.
Throughout her career, James has proven to be quite the beauty chameleon, most notably donning a number of platinum-blond wigs and facial prosthetics to play Pamela Anderson in Hulu’s “Pam & Tommy.” Hollywood celebrities resurrected Anderson’s famous messy-bun updo as a result of her role in the miniseries. Other memorable beauty moments for James include when she cut her hair into a blunt haircut in 2019 and the short blonde wig she wore to play Mrs. de Winter in the Netflix version of “Rebecca.”
