A coming-of-age romantic horror road movie from 2022, Bones & All is directed by Luca Guadagnino from a screenplay by David Kajganich. The film, starring Taylor Russell and Timothée Chalamet as two cannibalistic lovers who travel cross-country, is based on Camille DeAngelis’ 2015 book of the same name. Bones & All had its world premiere at the 79th Venice International Film Festival on September 2, 2022, before its release on November 23, 2022, in the United States.
The plot of Bones & All
The movie follows Maren (Waves’ Taylor Russell), a young woman-turned-flesh eater learning to survive on the edge of society, who meets Lee (Timothée’s character) on a cross-country road trip. The film was adapted from the same-named Camille DeAngelis novel by Suspiria writer David Kajganich. They work together to discover her father who has vanished and to comprehend why she feels the need to eat the ones she loves.

Release Date for Bones And All
Timmy attended the Venice Film Festival last year in favour of Dune because it is well known for serving as a platform for many Oscar hopefuls. In September, the movie will have its premiere there. Bones and All will open in US theatres on November 23, 2022, which is good news for those who were waiting for an official-wide release.
Erik Davis on his Twitter handle also appreciated the film, he said “I am a MONSTER fan of #BonesAndAll, one of the year’s best genre films. It’s uncomfortably gruesome at times, but it introduces fascinating mythology & is ultimately a beautifully unique love story. Timothée Chalamet rules, of course, tho Taylor Russell is just phenomenal.” He also said ” #BonesAndAll is the type of film that big genre fans are going to feast on. You’ll see it described as a “cannibal movie,” but trust me when I say it’s very different & the mythology they build around the story is SO engrossing. Some amazing bit parts, too. Michael Stuhlbarg!”
