Brad Pitt has asked for a jury trial against his ex-wife Angelina Jolie, alleging that she sold her half of Château Miraval, a 1,000-acre vineyard in the south of France, without his knowledge.
According to the complaint, the couple bought a controlling interest in Château Miraval S.A., a French company with a home and vineyard in the south of France, in 2008.
Brad Pitt’s legal team filed documents in Los Angeles County Superior Court stating how his home Château Miraval became his passion, which quickly grew into a multimillion-dollar global business and one of the world’s most highly regarded rosé wine producers.
Pitt even claimed that Angelina Jolie had nothing to do with Miraval’s success. The documents also stated how Jolie intended to sell her stake to Tenute del Mondo, which was owned and controlled indirectly by Yuri Shefler, the Russian billionaire who owns the Stoli Group.
