New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…

Original story (published on December 18, 2021) follows:

Brawl Star is a famous third-person shooter video game developed and published by Supercell gaming company, the same game maker who created the popular mobile game – Clash of Clans.

Supercell recently released a new December patch for Brawl Stars players on iOS and Android. The latest patch was aimed to fix some issues and bring several improvements to the game for an enhanced gaming experience.

FPS drop, lags, & performance issues

However, it seems that despite fixing things, the update broke several parts of the game. Several Android users took to Twitter and Reddit to report (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7) FPS drop, lag, and performance issues after installing the update.

Here are some reports for reference:

Users say that whenever they try to aim with a Brawler, the FPS suddenly drops making it extremely impossible to target the enemy.

These FPS drops and occasional lags make the game unplayable. It seems that instead of improving the gaming experience, the update has brought some severe performance issues.

And these need to be fixed as soon as possible since gamers aren’t able to play the game as they were before.

Issue gets acknowledged

Hopefully, the Brawl Stars support team has acknowledged the issue and said that they are aware of the glitch where gamers are experiencing FPS drops when aiming. Moreover, they said that it will take an additional Android update to fix it.

The Android users can get rid of this bug by installing the maintenance + optional update which is rolling out carrying version 41.144. And following is the changelog of this tiny patch.

We hope that these performance issues with Brawl Stars get fixed after installing the additional update. We will keep you informed on the further development as and when anything new comes to our notice.
