The new Call of Duty: Warzone meta has officially formed, with a few guns clearly positioned at the top of the game’s lineup. One of these is the Krig 6 Assault Rifle, and NICKMERCS has wasted no time telling Call of Duty: Warzone fans how to best prepare their loadouts.

Call of Duty: Warzone’s recent patch saw the Krig 6 buffed, one of several decisions that was praised by fans. Outside of the FFAR and CR-56 AMAX, the former of which was nerfed heavily, Call of Duty: Warzone has seen few viable Assault Rifles as of late. A preemptive nerf to the FFAR-like Groza only added to this, making the buffs to the AK-47 and Krig 6 welcome. In the case of the AK-47, it is now a perfectly usable weapon. As for the Krig 6, it is now one of the absolute best guns in Call of Duty: Warzone.

Having officially joined Call of Duty: Warzone’s new meta due to the game’s latest patch, NICKMERCS has been quick to provide his viewers with the strongest setup for the Assault Rifle. Pointing out how the Krig “definitely had the accuracy” when it was first added to the game, the partial owner of FaZe Clan highlights how the gun had previously lacked damage. Following the update that buffed the gun’s damage to the head, neck, chest, and torso, the Krig 6 can now hit from any area. As a result, NICKMERCS believes players “need” the gun in their loadout.

After showing off the Ice Drake weapon blueprint, NICKMERCS gives players a look at his loadout. First, the Agency Suppressor should be equipped in the muzzle slot. A must-have for all guns, the attachment keeps players off radars. Next, gamers will want the 19.7” Ranger barrel to give the weapon a ranged boost. As always, the Axial Arms 3x scope is the go-to Optic, while the STANAG 60 Round Mag gives players a massive increase to their ammunition. Finally, the Field Agent Grip for the underbarrel makes the already accurate weapon even more of a laser.

With this setup, NICKMERCS believes that “the recoil is nonexistent,” and he highlights just how devastating the neck damage increase is as well. With players not needing to be completely accurate to find success with the gun, and its lack of recoil making it hard not to miss in the first place, there is plenty to love about the Krig 6. While NICKMERCS does say that there are “a few options,” he believes that the Krig 6 is second only to the FARA 83 Assault Rifle.

With the M16 Tactical Rifle also extremely viable, players have a few strong choices when it comes to setting up their classes. For Assault Rifle fans, though, equipping a Krig 6 would be wise.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
