This Russia-Ukraine war is not welcomed by any celebrities around the world. In short, they say “No” to war. Before this, all of us have suffered for 2 years because of this Corona Virus and now this Russia-Ukraine crisis. Not only celebrities but also leaders and business people around the world. Both foreign and own county people are killed every day in this attack and this broke the hearts of millions of people around the world. People can’t even digest the fact that war is taking place between two countries during this 21 st century.

Bollywood Celebrities raising voice against war:

Actor Tillotama Shome wrote in a tweet “I worry incessantly for my mother who is battling cancer in the midst of Covid. But when I think of the families and cancer patients in the middle of a war, my brain just ceases to comprehend. Nothing absolutely nothing is uglier than war. Mothers don’t give life for war”.

Veteran Lyricist Javed Akhtar reacted to the war by a tweet ” If the Russian/ Ukrainian conflict evokes a sense of fairness and justice, a humane desire to protect the weaker in them, why all of the Western powers are totally indifferent towards Saudi carpet bombings and atrocities on a small country like Yemen”.

Actor Sonu Sood requested the Indian embassy to find an alternate route for safely bringing back Indian students from Ukraine.

The filmmaker Orni tweeted ” Resistance from within in always most powerful.

Tv celebrities showed their support to Ukraine during this crisis. Actor Nakul  Mehta  tweeted ” This is what courage and humanity looks like”

Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra wrote in her Instagram post ” Innocent people living in their lives and the lives of their loved ones while trying to navigate the uncertainty of the immediate future” and continued “It’s difficult to comprehend how in the modern world this could escalate to such a catastrophic point, but this is a consequential moment that will reverberate around the world. There are innocent lives living in this war zone. They are just like you and me”.

 

Hollywood Celebrities supporting Ukraine

American actress Hayden Panettiere who had a daughter with ex-fiance, Ukrainian boxer Wladimir Klitschko confirmed ” Daughter is safe and not in Ukraine”.

” What Putin is doing is an absolute disgrace! This horrifying moment in history sends a terrifying message: the message that in this day and age, in the year 2022, it’s okay to violate the rights of free people and allow autocrats like Putin to take whatever they please” wrote in her Instagram.

she also added ” I’m praying for my family and friends there and everyone who’s fighting. I wish you had more support and I wish I was there fighting with you!”

American actor and director Sean Penn travelled to Ukraine with a film crew on creating the documentary about the Russian-Ukraine crisis.

American actress, singer, producer and author Alyssa Milano shared a message on Twitter from Sean Penn and wrote “Already a brutal mistake of lives taken and hearts broken, and if he doesn’t relent, I believe Mr Putin Will have made a most horrible mistake for all of humankind. President Zelensky and the Ukrainian people have risen as historic symbols of courage and principle”

She added, ” Ukraine is the tip of the spear for the democratic embrace of dreams. If we allow it to fight alone, our soul as America is lost”.

Actor Ashton Kutcher tweeted ” I stand with Ukraine”.Kutcher’s wife Mila Kunis was born in Soviet Ukraine in 1983 and moved to the US at the age of 7.

Angelina Jolie took to Instagram and wrote ” Like many of you I’m praying for the people in Ukraine. My focus along with my @ refugees colleagues is that everything possible is done to ensure the protection and basic human rights of those displaced and refugees in the region”

She added ” We have already seen reports of casualties and people starting to flee their homes to seek safety. It is too soon to know what will happen, but the significance of this moment for the people of Ukraine and for the international rule of law cannot be overstated “.
