First meeting
Sonam stated in an interview with Filmfare that she first met Anand when her friends were trying to match her up with his closest buddy. This occurred during the 2015 film Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’s promotional tour.
Sonam said that her friends had duped her into going on a date with three boys, one of which was Anand.
Sonam further said that despite having diverse hobbies, she and Anand quickly became friends.
“No one would think of Anand and me together because Anand is totally different. He had no idea that Anil Kapoor was my father. I ended up speaking to Anand… the whole evening. Anand was trying to get me to talk to his friend… like being the middle man. But we ended up talking more,” Sonam Kapoor was quoted saying.
Connecting on social network
Anand connected with Sonam on Facebook shortly after their initial meeting. Anand was still attempting to act as a go-between for another acquaintance, but Sonam received a sharp response. But, as fate would have it, Anand and Sonam connected and began talking on the phone. Soon after, the two fell in love.
The Grand Wedding
Following a whirlwind relationship, Sonam and Anand exchanged wedding vows in Sikh tradition, followed by a lavish reception. The pair had a fairytale wedding, and the photos were an absolute delight for the admirers.
Embracing parenthood
Sonam and Anand are about to embark on a new adventure together after four years of marriage. In the fall of this year, the couple will have their first child. Sonam had announced on social media early this year and wrote, “Four hands. To raise you the very best we can. Two hearts. That will beat in unison with yours, every step of the way. One family.
