Chris Rock’s comedy tour sees an increase in ticket sales and prices after the slap he got from Will Smith for mocking Smith’s wife at the 94th Academy Awards.
Comedian Chris Rock one of the Present at the Academy Awards mocked Smith’s Wife that she could act in G.I Jane Part 2 as both Jada Smith and the actress featured in the film had Shaved heads. Jada Smith is suffering from alopecia which causes hair loss. This triggered Will Smith to slap Chris Rock on the stage.
After this incident, Will Smith apologised publicly to Chris Rock on his Instagram Page and on the oscar stage as well when he received Academy Award for his Richard Willams role in King Richard’s movie.
The oscar incident has pushed luck on Chris’ side. Today, On Twitter online Ticketing marketplace Tickpick said,” We sold more tickets to see Chris Rock overnight than we did in the past month combined.”

Chris Rock will perform six shows from March 30 to April 1 at Boston’s Wilbur Theatre and the tickets sold very quickly for $411 but before the incident at the Academy Awards, the cost of the ticket was $46.
