New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on February 16, 2022) follows:

Launched in November last year, Vanguard is the latest installment in the long-running Call of Duty franchise. Critiques have praised the game for its campaign, improved visuals, and multiplayer.

But as is the case with previous versions of Call of Duty, Vanguard has had its fair share of bugs and issues. From missing Combat Pacing on Hardcore mode to crashing on ‘Fetching Online profile’, the list seems to be endless.

Adding fuel to the fire, Vanguard players are now saying (1,2,3,4,5) that aim assist is not working as intended. Some say that it is inconsistent with the crosshair sometimes shifting away from the enemy.

Many say that the aim assist is broken since release and that there is no improvement even after the start of Season 2. It looks like the problem is making the game unplayable for console players since they rely on aim assist to consistently land shots.

Below are some reports from Vanguard players complaining about the aim assist not working or being inconsistent.

Unfortunately, Sledgehammer Games is yet to acknowledge or address the issue. We hope they fix the aim assist on Vanguard in a future update.

If and when they do, we will update this space to let you know so stay tuned for updates. In the meantime, make sure you check out our Call of Duty bug tracker to see similar issues affecting players.
