Even though Activision chose Sledgehammer Games instead of Raven Software, things do not seem to be going well for Call of Duty Vanguard.
The list of bugs and glitches affecting players seems to be never-ending. Recently, many complained about the game crashing at ‘fetching online profile’ and Combat Pacing missing on Hardcore mode.
Prestige Level not displaying correctly after Season 2 update
That being said, Call of Duty Vanguard players are now reporting (1,2,3) that Prestige levels are not displaying accurately after the Season 2 update.
Thankfully, Vanguard developers seem to be aware of the issue where prestige levels are displaying incorrectly and said that it is under investigation. However, there is no ETA for the fix.
Spawning with enemies
As it turns out, there is another issue affecting Vanguard players. Many say they are spawning on the enemy side (1,2,3,4,5). It looks like the glitch is limited to those playing on the Casablanca map.
This is really infuriating a lot of players since they have to deal with the entire enemy squad right after they materialize.
Fortunately, the developers seem to be aware of the issue and have labeled it as under investigation on their Trello board. Once again, there is no ETA on when the problem will be resolved.
Rest assured, we will be keeping tabs on the matter and let you know once Sledgehammer Games fixes the issues concerning incorrect Prestige levels and players spawning on the enemy side.

Update 1 (February 17)
11:38 am (IST): In the latest development regarding the inaccurate prestige levels issue, the Vanguard public board now shows that a fix has been scheduled for this bug which should arrive soon.
Update 2 (May 13)
05:38 am (IST): Sledgehammer Games has confirmed that the issue with inaccurate prestige levels has now been resolved with the stability update in COD: Vanguard.
