As filming for Creed 3 continues, the cast keeps on expanding, as now Selenis Leyva, Thaddeus J. Mixson, Spence Moore II, and Mila Davis-Kent have joined the upcoming boxing drama.

MGM’s Creed films, which serve as spin-off/sequel films to the Rocky franchise, have been worthy continuations with Michael B. Jordan in the lead role as Adonis Creed, the son of Carl Weathers’ Apollo Creed. Other than reprising his titular role, Jordan will also be making his directorial debut on the upcoming film.

According to Variety, Leyva, Mixson, Moore II, and Davis-Kent will be joining other previously announced stars Tessa Thompson, Jonathan Majors, Florian Munteanu, and Phylicia Rashad. Leyva is no stranger to the industry, as she is best known for her roles on Netflix’s acclaimed Orange Is the New Black and Disney Plus’ Diary of a Future President. She also played the role of Monica Warren in Spider-Man: Homecoming and is set to join John Boyega and Connie Britton in the upcoming thriller drama, 892.

As for the young talent, Mixson first had his Hollywood breakthrough on Steve Harvey’s talent show, Little Big Shots. The young actor would eventually appear in Disney Plus’ Safety and the Jason Sudeikis-led crime thriller, South of Heaven. Moore II’s resume includes working on Netflix’s 13 Reasons Why, ABC’s The Wonder Years reboot, and CW’s All American. He has also appeared in Luca Guadagnino’s coming-of-age drama series for HBO, We Are Who We Are. And lastly, newcomer Davis-Kent will fill the role of Amara Creed, Adonis’ and Bianca’s daughter, after the nine-year-old actress landed the role following a nationwide open call for deaf child actors.

After defeating Viktor Drago, Adonis will have to face a new adversary with The Harder They Fall and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania star Majors this time around. While Jordan has the tough task of following in the footsteps of acclaimed filmmakers like Ryan Coogler and Steven Caple Jr., it appears the first-time director is already cooking up another worthy addition in the Creed series, as Majors has already hinted at the more personal story the upcoming film is striving to tell.

The boxing drama will also see Thompson and Rashad reprise their roles as Bianca Taylor and Mary Anne Creed, while Coogler and his brother Keenan are working on the story and screenplay. Creed 3 began its production in Atlanta this past January, and it has continued filming in California.

Creed 3 will arrive in theaters on November 23, 2022.
