Developed and published by CD Projekt Red, Cyberbunk 2077 is a first-person open world shooter set in the near future. Players assume the role of a mercenary known as V, with customization options ranging from eyebrows to hair color.
But soon after its launch, those who were waiting for the game to come out for years were disappointed when they learned that the game is full of technical issues.
With players recently complaining about their save game data getting corrupted on PS4 and some unable to loot drones, the title is still affected by numerous bugs and issues.
And as if these weren’t troubling enough, Cyberpunk 2077 players are now complaining (1,2,3,4,5) about FPS drops and stutters. Reports suggest that the issue surfaced after the recent 1.5 update.
Players say that the FPS drops are so severe that they are unable to play the game at all. Some said they tried updating graphic drivers and and reinstalling the game but to no avail.
Below are some reports from Cyberpunk 2077 players who are experiencing FPS drops and stutters.
Thankfully, Cyberpunk 2077 developers (CD Projekt Red) have acknowledged the stuttering issues that surfaced after the 1.5 update and said the problem occurred whenever players opened the inventory or map.
However, they did not share any ETA on when the problem will be resolved.
We hope Cyberpunk 2077 developers soon find out the reason why the game is stuttering and fix it in the coming days. As always, we will be keeping an eye out for more information and update this space as and when required so make sure you stay tuned.
