Arts link people from all around the world, transcending all boundaries and linguistic barriers. A current performance by a troupe of dancers that fused Hip-Hop with Bharatanatyam is an illustration of this. The stunning fusion of the two completely different dancing genres has enthralled the internet.

While mashup dances are frequent in pop culture, the stunning choreography of three saree-clad dancers swaying to Lil Wayne’s 2018 single “Uproar” feat. Swizz Beatz caught everyone off guard. The elegant implementation of the dance sequence has put the internet on fire, combining delicate gestures seen in Indian classical dance with the vibe of locking-and-popping seen in Hip-Hop.

Usha Jey, a Paris-based dancer-choreographer, choreographed the dance, which she recently collaborated on with Mithuja & Janusha.

“#HybridBharatham is my way of switching between Hip-Hop and Bharathanatyam, 2 dances that I love, learn and respect. My aim is to keep the essence of each dance and create something that do justice to who I am,” Jey stated on Insgtagram.

Swizz Beatz noticed the video after it got viral on social media networks and retweeted it.

People, including many celebrities, couldn’t stop praising the three brilliant dancers on social media. Despite the fact that many people dislike fusion dance covers, they all agreed that this video blew their heads.

Many people have commented on how good it is to see Indian classical dance traditions hitting the world wide web.
