Cruz Beckham is alleged to have split from his sweetheart fiancée Bliss Chapman after taking the first steps in his career as an aspiring singer, similar to his Spice Girls mother Victoria Beckham.
Cruz, 17, and 15-year-old Bliss Beckham, David and Victoria Beckham’s sons, had a great 18-month relationship, but the young pair apparently chose to call it quits this week.
Because Victoria and Bliss’s model mother Rosemary Ferguson are close friends and the reason their children met paths romantically, the alleged break-up might be a messy time for the Beckham family.
Now, a source tells OK! that Victoria, 47, is attempting to maintain civility with Rosemary, also 47, while prioritising her son Cruz’s sentiments.
“Victoria will always prioritise her family. It’s not awkward between them, and if Cruz didn’t like it, she’d terminate all relations “Added the source.
“They’ll always be buddies. Cruz does not ask her to choose sides, but she will unavoidably do so.”
“Cruz is a nice youngster who would never ask that of his mother,” the source stated, “but she will gradually start to back away.” That’s just part of being a mother.”
OK! Victoria Beckham’s representative was contacted for comment.
While Cruz and Bliss appeared to be in a good position for a while after meeting through their mother’s acquaintance, a source told MailOnline that the aspiring pop singer may have a busy schedule in the months ahead.
“Cruz and Bliss are both young,” a source added, “but they had been together for a long time, especially for two adolescents.”
Cruz had planned to follow in his renowned father’s footsteps and seek a career in football, but he has now opted to follow in his mother Victoria’s footsteps.
The singer, who previously registered with Arsenal, told i-D magazine: “I thought I’d like to play football, and I did for a while.
“That’s when I realised: “This is exactly what I want to do.”
