Dead by Daylight is a unique multiplayer game that consists of a lobby of 5 players with one playing the role of a killer. It is developed and published by the Canadian game studio Behaviour Interactive.

Others have to escape the killer and repair five generators to survive and escape successfully. Thanks to the developers frequently pushing out new content and characters, the six year old game still feels fresh.

But in the last few months, players have complained of various issues such as adrenaline not working or activating and infinite loading screen.

And now, many Dead by Daylight players say (1,2,3) they are tired of the unfair and broken skill based matchmaking system. According to reports, the game is matching low rank players with high rank, making it hard for them to win a round.

It looks like the developers will be allegedly bringing some changes and incentivizing players to play the role of the killer.

Apart from the unfair and broken matchmaking algorithm, many Dead by Daylight players say they are unable to find any matches at all.

It looks like some are getting ‘Error: The matchmaking process failed. timeoutCreated.’ message when searching for a match.

While Behaviour Interactive is yet to acknowledge the issue, it looks like players are able to find matches by turning crossplay on.

Some players say the matchmaking issues are because too many people want to be survivors compared to those playing killers.

We hope Dead by Daylight developers fix the aforementioned issues as soon as possible. If and when they do, we will be updating this space to reflect the same.
