Dead Space is a remake of the 2008 sci-fi survival horror video game by Motive Studios. It is entirely rebuilt from scratch to provide a richer and more immersive experience.
It was recently released and got a number of gamers really excited about its launch. However, we recently highlighted how the ‘death loop’ bug got them stuck during the gameplay.
Dead Space remake players stuck on Chapter 5
Some Dead Space remake players (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) have now taken to social media platforms to report an issue where they are stuck on Chapter 5.
It seems that the game is getting stuck owing to a prompt that says ‘Acquire the Liquid Nitrogen’ (1,2). While some (1,2,3) are getting stuck as the door is not opening for them.
This bug is making it impossible for players to progress past Chapter 5. They rather get a prompt saying ‘Stand By’, which then keeps them waiting infinitely.
Players are incredibly frustrated due to this problem as it literally makes the game partially unplayable.
Potential workaround
We have come across a workaround that may help solve the problem for players who are stuck. It appears that they were able to fix the issue by loading earlier saved files.
Unfortunately, EA hasn’t acknowledged the issue where some players are stuck on Chapter 5. So those affected can try the workaround mentioned above.
